Sculptra Aesthetic New York City

Sculptra is an injectable substance that naturally causes the body to produce and build collagen in areas where there has been a loss of substance. Loss of substance is a natural process of aging and includes resorption and reduction of facial bones, reduction in elastic fibers of skin and reduction of the fat and subcutaneous tissue of the face. Sculptra helps to restore these tissues by replacement with your natural collagen tissue, volumizing, filling out and lifting tissues of the face . Sculptra serves to correct deficiencies and problems that cannot be corrected with other facial injectables. Dr. Simone will analyze your facial structures and determine which areas are deficient and need volumizing and will focus the injections so as to restore the bone and tissue loss. It is usually given to the cheek areas, the hollows in the temples, the nasolabial folds, and along the lower jaw line. Following the first treatment, a second is usually necessary in 4-6 weeks. The increase in collagen build-up occurs over 3-6 months with a gradual restoration and improvement in appearance. Interestingly, many patients actually prefer this slow and gradual improvement of their appearance.

Sculptra Aesthetic last for approximately 2 years but a significant number of patients have been known to have a longer lasting effect. It has a very low reactivity and complication rare. Treatments are done with topical and anesthesia and take about 20-30 minutes.

“ Dr. Simone made me feel very comfortable during my consultation. He was thorough and patient and explained my procedure very clearly. He and his staff really helped reduce my nervousness. My surgery went very well and I am extremely pleased with my results as is my husband. When I couldn’t come in for a post-operative visit during the week, he came in especially for me on the weekend. I would do it all over again. ”
