Skin Care & Laser New York City
Personal beauty is a greater recommendation than any letter of reference.
Dr. Simone offers a variety of skin care programs and treatments which are aimed at improving the appearance and health of facial skin, reduce fine lines, eradicate pigmentation areas, reduce pore size and even out irregular skin textures.Treatments are generally briefer with little to no downtime, enabling patients to return to normal activities very soon if not immediately. Treatments include chemical peels, microdermabrasion, photo-light therapy, and laser, individually or in combination. Dr. Simone may also recommend revitalizing creams to enhance the result for maximal effect. Some of these treatments require a single procedure while others, such as photo-rejuvenation, require a series for optimal results.
Depending on the findings, Dr. Simone will outline an individualized treatment plan to get the best result for you, helping to bring your skin to a more youthful, refreshed level.
Skin care treatments may also be done in conjunction with injectables such as Dysport/Botox, Sculptra, and the HA fillers (Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm) as part of a “Liquid Facelift”.
Whether your skin is aged or wrinkled, sun damaged, irregularly pigmented or spotty, there are a number of treatment options that can be used, alone or together. As we work together, the goal is to achieve the greatest potential for your skin for a more attractive, youthful and confident self that you will be proud of while maintaining good skin health.
Dr. Simone will create a flexible treatment plan with brief office visits that require no “down time” so that skin care becomes a part of your life – not an interruption.
BEAUTIFUL SKIN MADE EASY AND CONVENIENT
Refresh & Rejuvenate: Facial Skin Peels
Will improve your skin’s appearance and health. An evaluation will reveal your skin’s type and unique needs to determine the depth of peel that is best for you. Exfoliating the outer layers of your skin will allow new skin to grow that is smoother, softer and more even in color.
Timing For Optimal Results: Light, glycolic (fruit acid) peels are done in a series of 5 fifteen minute treatments, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. Deeper peels for more extreme needs may require greater exfoliation and some convalescence time.
Is similar to microdermabrasion that gently and painlessly removes outer layers of dry, thickened skin. The difference is that Diamabrasion is accomplished with a diamond encrusted instrument to offer additional benefits of precise control of depth and stimulates circulation for improved results.
Micro-diamabrasion is beneficial for both face and hands:
Smooths skin and reduces wrinkles, fine lines, crow’s feet.
Following micro-diamabrasion, your skin will be extremely receptive to absorbing our specially formulated liposome cream, providing you with a super-moisturizing treatment.
- Reduces pore size and pigmentation
- Improves circulation
- Reverses the effects of sun-damage
- Gives hands a more youthful texture
Timing For Optimal Results: A series of five 20-minute treatments spaced at 2-3 week intervals.
Pay for four and the fifth is free
The Ultimate Combination: Micro-D-Peel
Uses both micro-diamabrasion and an exfoliating peel, followed by super-moisturization. Each treatment compliments the other, with the benefit of a more thorough and quick result. Together, the two processes improve cell growth and collagen formation to produce a firmer, more resilient and smoother texture. The result is a more youthful, fresh and healthier appearance.
Timing For Optimal Results: A series of four 30-minute treatments spaced at 4-6 week intervals.
Phototherapy – Red and Infra-Red Light
Phototherapy has been demonstrated to increase collagen production in the skin and as such causes a progressive thickening of tissues which reduce fine lines and wrinkles and gives the skin a more homogeneous look. It will also reduce pigmentation differences and Phototherapy is used for the face and neck, the decolletage [upper chest]-especially for sun-damaged skin and for hands. It requires approximately 5-7 40- minute sessions given 3-7 days apart. Following completion, maintenance of result is done with one session every 6 weeks.
Phototherapy can be done in conjunction with many other modalities such as microdermabrasion and skin injectables.
The hands may show earlier signs of degeneration and aging because of exposure to the elements and to sun. Findings are usually thinning and wrinkling of the skin, blotchiness, and pigmentation of the tops of the hands. Dr. Simone has successfully treated these findings with laser, chemical peels, Photolight therapy as well as injections with HA fillers – to soften, tighten and give more substance to thinning tissues.
Dr. Simone has successfully applied laser therapy alone or as an adjunct to surgery as a re-surfacing treatment to improve facial and hand skin. Most often, he utilizes a fractionated laser which has less downtime and fewer complications associated with traditional, deeper lasers. Laser is very effective where sundamaged, heavily wrinkled and pigmented skin is the predominant finding rather than sagging – or for those patients who do not want to have surgery. It can return damaged skin to a healthy, smooth, youthful level. Laser therapy does require a certain time for recovery depending on the degree of wrinkling and the depth of the laser. Generally, this is between 5-8 days.
Though complications a few, they can include pigment changes and scarring, which can be avoided by careful patient selection and judicious application of laser technology.
